Cleveland football weather is Lake Erie weather - grey, loud, and not interested in fair-weather kits. Cle Browns is drawn for that climate, which is why it does not need a licensed logo to feel local. And there is a chant for it: "Here We Go Brownies", the nearest thing this fanbase has to a house style, which Cle Browns sits inside comfortably.
Because it is fan-made rather than licensed, Cle Browns can carry CLE BROWNS without borrowing a mark it has no right to. You are buying the sentiment behind CLE BROWNS, not a replica.
If you already talk like this on Sundays, the t-shirt is just the public version of CLE BROWNS. The artwork says CLE BROWNS and leaves it at that.
